Not able to create system alias in system landscape in P2P portal

Hi Experts,

We are facing an issue while creating the system alias in our UAT after our system DB restoration with primary DB.

After DB restoration we have deleted the existing primary alias. Then we selected system template as per our UAT application and then created the system object successfully. However, while assigning the system alias to system object we are getting error saying that 'Could not perform operation. Try again later or contact your system administrator.' And due to this we are unable to create the alias.

We have removed the objects locked in object locking and deleted floating alias before we assign and removed PCD cache but no lock.

Kindly let us know if anyone faced this kind of issue and resolved. Please let us know anything else we need to check before we assign alias. Logged in user has system admin role.

Hi All,

Issue has been resolved.

While creating the system alias in portal we are using parenthesis in naming, SAP confirmed that parenthesis are not support in alias name in latest versions. We removed parenthesis in alias name and able to create it now.
