Dwell time

Hello Guys, I need your advice in regards to the following issue. In our manufacturing site when the first operation finish the product needs to rest for 4 days before goes to the paint. In between these 2 opearations we can nevertheless do another operation. we are able to manage another operation. The operations are 1. Mould 2. (Not always) trim 3. Paint. Time between 1 & 3 is called dwell time. Does anybody know how can we handle this in SAP? Consultants suggested wait and queue time but this did not seem to work. Any suggestions? Thanks

thanks for your answer. However the problem lies on the way that working days are calculated in the system. Wait time in routing might be the answer but it only counts weekdays. For example, if we produce a part on Thursday our current system will show that the part will be available for paint Monday ( 4 days later) whereas SAP will show next Wednesday ( 4 working days later). I am wondering if there is a way to overcome this issue (include weekends in the system). Any ideas ?

Thank you

why don't you create two different order in which one for Mould & trim(needed) another one for Paint ?

Create a new item for Mould as sub assembly item(for 1st step order) and then your finished item (paint) will call mould when finishing the second step order.
