Hi Friends,

Currently we are in Active – Passive setup of PROD and DR and the restore of DB, Configuration is taking almost 2 hr. for (6 server cluster).

Now we got the requirement from Business to setup Active – Active environments. So that business can access the DR environment at any point of time when the PROD is down without any time delay.

Can someone please help us by guiding how to setup Active – Active setup

What do you mean "configuration is taking almost 2hr" ? please explain.

Active -Active DR in case of BOE could mean 2 things :
1. Single cluster with one central CMS DB (which is managed by its own DR mechanisms) and active BOE nodes in both regular and DR location. This assumes that network latency and bandwidth between DR and regular site and between sites and CMS DB is sufficient for performance requirements.

2. two independent sites which are mirrors of each other, but separated by firewall or other means so that each doesn't know the other one exist. CMS DB/FRS data is replicated to DR in real time.
