Key Mapping and Value Mapping in SAP MDG

Hi,

We are setting up MDG Hub connected to ERP system for material master.All the existing data in MDG Hub is required to be loaded into MDG Hub active table directly for which we are planning to use LSMW.My question here is how can I assign Key mapping to the materials being loaded into MDG Hub .

For e.g. In MDG Hub materials will have an internal number range where as ERP materials have external number range so when I am loading data directly into active table how to ensure key mapping is executed and materials are assigned with internal number and key mapping is updated.Need help in this regard.

Inspite its an old post , I would like to add a comment over here that never ever try to upload any data into SAP MDG using LSMW .... This creates lots of issues further down the line

Hi,

If you are using LSMW, Load the data into MDG and use data import functionaloity to update key mapping.
