BO 4.2 Not connecting to Essbase after SSL

Hi Experts,

we have a 4.2 environment , we were able to connect sucessfully to the Ess base 11 Cubes historically. On the Ess base side the team has now implemented SSL.

The port is now changed from 1423 to 6423 .Now if we try to connect it throws Handshaking error and does not connect.

Have checked the new port through telnet and it does connect to the Ess base server .the communication is also fine ( I can ping the server ) , There is not relavent information in Logs to go through ,

Are we missing something to be updated at the Business Objects side ? have tried created through IDT on server and through CMC as well both have issue now to connect to Ess base , have a 4.1 Environment there also we have the same issue so this is not environment specific .

What driver are you using ?
I would think you'll need to setup the ESS driver for SSL communication first.
You should work with your DBA on this.

Is there a different driver for Just SSL to Essbase ?

We are using the Oracle Hyperion Essbase client currently and through IDT we create OLAP connection using esspase provider ?

There shouldn't be a different driver, your current driver needs to be configured to use SSL.
And this needs to be done by your Essbase DBA

They have set in some certificates on some of the Ess base locations on the server but that is not helping us as well.

We raised an Oracle SR they came back stating that it is something which is to be configured at BO level

using ESSbase driver (essbase tools) - can you connect to your ESEbase DB outside of the BOE (on BOE server) ?
If you can't - it is oracle issue.
PAM doesn't mentions anything related to SSL and Essbase OLAP, so that part should be transparent to BOE.
