Acknowledgment for Inbound Idoc

Hi,

Kindly suggest steps for below scenario.

We have Inbound IDoc(Custom or standard) from SAP or non-SAP system. Need to send acknowledgement to the sender system.

Schedule program RBDSTATE as a background job periodically to send IDocs of message type ALEAUD for all IDocs with given status (+ customizing in BD64, etc., search forum and SAP Library please).

IDoc is SAP proprietary format, so you can't really receive it directly from a non-SAP system. I'm guessing in such case there is some middleware/translator involved. You can send an acknowledgement back from SAP as Sandra described but in case of a non-SAP partner you might need to make some additional effort.

And if this is EDI scenario then there is an EDI standard for that.
