Manufacture a sales order quantity is various lots

Hello,

For a new requirement , I am using stratergy 50 & genearlised the material number.

Currently we are craeting a new material number depending on lenghts & other factors.

My issue is:

I put a sales order of 20M for material X.

Now as per my business requirement I can manufacture this material only in a maximum of 3M lenght & then these are joined to make 20M(3+2+3+2+3+2+3+2).

This is an example, the lenghts can be anything like 0.75M,1.25M etc.(It depends on the building structure), so I wont know how many units i have to manufacture.

So for the same lenght for a sales order it can be 0.75+0.25+3+1....

and for the same lenght for another sales order it can be 3+2+3...

I have some materials in this material X's BOM which are fixed quantity.

So for these BOM components he requirements are not generated correctly.

Becasue for 20M it will calculate the BOM componenet dependent quantity according to fixed quantity, which is the issue in the sales order costing as well.

Can you please provide a solution for this scenario.

The above example is for Busbar trunking component, if anyone is using it in SAP currently please let me know how the process is mapped.

I don't think that the fixed quantity is an alternative for you. I suggest you to use variant configuration to change the component quantity according to the sales order details.
