Hello Guru's,
I do have a basic understanding of a user exits. I know how it can be created, now I want to know how I can use the extra segments in a mapping.
For example: There is a user exit which creates 5 ZE1EDK3 segments in the E1EDKA1 segment of an invoice. This segment contains 2 fields a qualifier and a value. I need to map the values to a target.
Within XI I have created a Message Mapping from INVOICE01 to AdvanceShipmentNotice. Now I need to use the extra segments for mapping to the AdvanceShipmentNotice, but I do not know how, can someone help me on that?
Best regards,
Guido

Hi
For creation of an extension for an IDOC of basic type.
First you need to create segment in WE31, give the segment name and add fields to it.Save it and then EDIT-->set release..
Now go to WE30...
Enter your extension IDOC name. Click on the radio button extension and create..
Now create new link basic type and give basic type name and enter..
Now you need to add the segment which you created as per your requirement

1. IP Addresss of R/3 System, where IDOC is.
2. System Numer e.g. 00 or whatever it is.
3. User Name (you can give your's)
4. Password
Now select your desirec IDOC and press Continue button and then finally press the Finsh button.
