Hello

Data base tables in SAP can be of many types.

Object tables, totals tables, line item tables(plan) and line item tables(actual)

In SAP there could be clients like 100, 200 and so on.

Normally, the settings in a particular client may affect one or all company codes in the particular client.

Most of the table information is client independent. So there is not much impact on similar tables across clients.

I can remember of table info, where authorisation roles are mentioned, which can be set as common to all clients

Also check the table DD02L in SE16 / There is a field - CLIDEP (Client Specific). If you set it as 'X' and execute, u will get all client dependent tables.

Characteristics and key figures form the structure of an operating concern. The operating concern has the same characteristics and key figures in all clients.

Any changes affect all clients.

I was trying to make changes to operating concern and it gave the above message. When a setting or configuration affects across the settings it is called clinet independent settings.

If it affects only one client it is called client dependent settings.

Certain tables and customizations made in one client will affect the other clients also - then it is cross client i,e, client dependent

While if the changes made in one client has no impact on the other client - it is said to be client independent.

adding to the above reply, in Customization (i.e. in Tcode SPRO). go to the menu: Additional info - Technical data -Client dependence - Click on it

Now against each activitiy, details as to whether each customization is cross client or not will be displayed.

Dear Sir,

Any changes that are making to a client

We have two clients in a scenario. When the changes are taking place if it is a independent client both the clients- changes takes place, if it is dependent only one client changes.
