Auto PO for material type DIEN

Hello,

The issue is regarding auto-creating PO from requisition form material of material type DIEN. To be able to do that, you need tick the "auto-PO" ticker on the material master. But for material type DIEN, this field is hidden in standard SAP

I guess that is for a reason?

What is your recommendation regarding changing the filed status group and open this field for material type DIEN to enable this scenario?

Assuming you are using the basic service scenario (without item category D).

I would recommend not to change the existing standard material type. Create a new Z material type by coping DIEN and make the changes accordingly.

Not a good idea as it will not better your situation.

The indicator 'Automatic PO generation for service requisitions' has to be set in Customizing: Materials Management -> External Services Management -> Source Determination and Default Values

    Hello,

Thanks for reply - we are not using item category D - only materials with material type DIEN without any item category.

In that scenario, I thought that the customising with Source Determination and Default Values did not help?
