How to check the fields for transfer in BW for a 3 .x datasource?

Dear BWers,

For an SD extractor 2LIS_11_VAITM, i enhanced it in LBWE and added some custom Z fields that were already available in the underlying VBAK table. After unhiding all these fields in R/3, i activated/replicated this datasource. In BW i see the datasource (3.x) but only in display mode and the newly added Z fields are not checked for transfer. How do i check these? When i hit the change button it gives a message "Only transfer rules can be changed for this 3.x datasource". Please advise.

P.S. We are in BI 7 with R/3 4.x as backend.
