Rows selected in an ALV_GRID with custom actions.

Hi Experts,

I'm finishing my task with the editable ALV grid I posted in the thread

This is the function call:

All works ok excepting the fact that I can't do the ciustom actions I've defined to concrete rows c'ause i can't know wich rows has the user selected.

Does anybody know how can i know wich rows or colums has the user selected?

I cannot help you with this old-fashioned function module. Most likely you have to fill the parameters IT_EVENTS and/or IT_EVENT_EXIT (Values? No idea).

However, using OO-based ALV programming your requirement is just a piece of cake. Simply double-click through the different ALV lists of my sample report <b>ZUS_SDN_THREE_ALV_GRIDS</b> and see what happens. If you want to debug the row selection set a break-point in method HANDLE_DOUBLE_CLICK.

I've tried with this OO ALV and it looks so much better!

I have no experience with the ABAP OO But I think that's a good moment to start with it.

Do you know how can I add custom buttons and make some fyelds editable? I only need to make one of the fyelds editable but not at all the rows.

Hi artur,

You already have the callback sub routine 'USER_COMMAND' in your program. So wat ever you do in the grid ( or may be click on some button in the toolbar ) , the control u ll go thru the above sub routine.

the syntax of ur sub routine is like this -


FORM USER_CMD USING r_ucomm LIKE sy-ucomm
rs_selfield TYPE slis_selfield.

ENDFORM.

the rs_selfield-SEL_TAB_FIELD will give u the column name u have clicked and

rs_selfield-TABINDEX will give u the Row number.

Hope this is what you were looking for.
