Hi,
I have been working with CRM 5.0. Now with new version 5.2 released which has alltogather new user interface, I am trying to undertand how it works. I have tried to do the relevant configurations and successfully created new roles. This is true when I am copying the exsiting configuration. In the process, I am unable to link up how things are flowing. Say in "Navigation Bar profile", I could not understand as to why to assign the components to the profile and why at all we have to define the Generic OP maping.
If any one have worked with CRM 5.2 or has relevent documentation on New CRM UI Framework, kindly help me out.
Thanks & Regards,
Ravindra Valy
Hello Ravindra,
In the settings for the Navigation Bar Profile
We have to define Logical Links for all Pages.
Assign the links to the Worcenter Group(These groups become Menus)
workcenterlink group do not appear in UI. Links of the assigned Workcenter group
appear in UI. Navbar Profiles Contain WorkCenters,Directlink Groups and Generic Outbound Plug(OP) mappings.
Navigation Barprofile is assigned to a Business Role.
GENERIC OUTBOUND PLUG(OP) MAPPINGS ARE REQUIRED TO NAVIGATE FROM ONE OBJECT TO ANOTHER.
Points Please.
regards,

Hello,
I have worked in CRM 5.1 and CRM5.2. I guess, You will take soemtime to undersatnd the new UI concept. Its not difficult or weird but takes time to understand. Most of the applications in new CRM release are component based and we are assigning components to Nav Bar profile in customzing. Nav Bar profile is controlled via business role. Well it will be difficult to explain in detail.
Please ask if you have any specific questions.
I wont be able to help you much on documentation part as nothing has been released officialy by SAP.

Dear Piyush,
As you have worked on CRM 5.1 & 5.2 application, I request your help for the following issue.
We created a role in customer space (ZC: CRM_UIU_IC_CCTL) by copying
standard agent role SAP_CRM_UIU_IC_MANAGER. This role is assigned to a
test user ID ZCRMTEST2. Also created GUI role (ZCD:TL_INTERACT_CTR_001)
which has authorisation for Transaction code BP, CRMD_ORDER and IS01.
While login in through URL
it gives an error
The following error text was processed in the system CD2 : Exception condition "FAILED" raised.
The error occurred on the application server and in the work process 0 .
The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
The ABAP call stack was:

However if we assign additional profile SAP_ALL to this user, we could
able to successfully able to login to common UI (as we could check with
a different test user ZCRMTEST1).
Request your help.
Thanks in Advance.

Pramod
