Missing HANA nvarchar column in SAP BI4 WebI

Hi,

A hana live view contains many nvarchar columns, which all behave as they should - as I expect-, all except one. One column contains descriptions in the data preview but when I query the table from a WebI it is empty, always empty.

The column is a nvarchar(20).

BI4.2 SP3
Hana 7.2 SP1
Hana Studio 2.3.21

The data is being retrieved via an OLAP connection.

Thanks for your help!!

Hi Sateesh,

Somehow the text joins don't work as they should.

A colleague of mine had a similar issue while using a relational connection.

I can't test that here (company policy, no IDT has been installed so...)

Anyway, I changed it to outer join and added the language column in the end result (and a prompt).

Problem is circumvented (for the time being)

Hopefully a solution is posted sooner or later (preferably sooner 😉

Hi Tijl,

Strange ! .One possible cause I can think of is "Analytical Privileges" .Can you check whether any data restriction applied at HANA .

Can you try using Relational connection .
