Can a system generated batch job number can be customized?

Hi All expert,

Would it be possible to modify the way the batch number is created? Instead of having a number 1111xxxxxx, the system generate a batch number related to the DLC, for example yyyy.mm.dd ( 2007.11.25 ) ? I know a batch grouping job could be launch automaticaly to modify the batch 1111xxxxx to 2007.11.25, but it would be easier if the system created the right format at the beginning.

Hope for Immediate response guys.. please support details explanation for me.

Hi,

You can use user exit to customize the batch number using dates.

SAPLV01Z. Give this to the ABAPer, then they can use this to write a program.
