Hi All,
We recently upgraded the BW 3.1 to 2004s(BI 7.0).
When i am executing the query, the selection screen is not popping up.
Instead the query is executing with default selection.
I am facing problem when there are any mandatory fields.
I appreciate your help,
Thanks,
Joseph.
Hi Joseph,
If your are not able to get the Variable pop in WAD when their are no mandatory variables in one of the varaiables avaialable then go to your WAD template in the web template options properties select the option variable screen = on then even if you don't have manadatory variable you will get the popup.

Neel

Hi Josh,
Any of these three things can happened
1.First check weather the 'ready for input' check box is checked while creating the variable.
2.Also make sure that variable is used in that query. You might have forgotten to pull that variable into your query.
Finally try this
open the query - click on refresh variables and you will get the window - then in the icon of a face next to the variable entry boxes - see if personalization has been done - is so - click on that to delete personalization and check again
Hope it solves the problem
Regards
Karthik

Hi,
the variable is checked 'ready for input'
it is used in a formula
actually it is appearing for some users with BI_ALL auth,
but were trying for some test users the variable screen is not appearing.
even 'change variable value' to remove any personalization is not working from test user.
and for BI_ALL users at change variable screen if we remove personilization, the following error is comming
An exception with the type CX_SY_PROGRAM_NOT_FOUND occurred, but was neit
Program GP3T375QSSYZZ29YGQVGFUV7OO2 does not exist
Thanks,
Joseph
