Is 'Object from this query' option is a limitation while using Bex queries as backend in SAP BI 4.1?

Is 'Object from this query' option is a limitation while using Bex queries as backend in SAP BI 4.1?

I'm trying to add another object to filter out data in the filter pane, but the option is disabled. I'm using BeX query as backend with BICS connection.

I read in one of the thread, 'result from another query' option is a limitation while using OLAP connections.
