advantage of resolvenode methos?

hi all

if i write textfield[1].rawvalue = "hello"

what is wrong..

because everywhere i have seen it is written

xfa,form.form1.resolvenode("textfield[1]").rawvalue = " hello".

what is the difference between these two statements?

can you explain me what is the advantage of resolvenode method

i have seen in designer help ie within the argument of this method i can write only some valid SOM expression but i have also seen scripts like this.resolvenode("break").after = ' ';

is break a valid SOM expression ? also what is meant by the above script?

ie break.after = " ".

please help..i am unable to understand these basic things..
