SAP database cluster for oracle 10g

Dear Experts,

Can anybody give me some idea on how do SAP database clustering for oracle 10g on two different remote system.

Is there any sapnote for this or any other help document. Is it possible to do on two different remote system.

Please guide me.

Bhaskar,

MSCS is a failover solution provided by Microsoft, on the similar lines, oracle has dataguard (a DR solution) product.

You are looking for a clustering solution (data grid in Oracle 10g) type of solution. RAC in 9i and parallel server in earlier oracle releases.

what means "two different remote system"?

Are you going to build MSCS? Is this geographically dispersed cluster?

Yes it will be geographically at different place. one at head office and one at branch office.

is it possible.

i have not yet decieded what to do. for that only i need some guidelienes and best possible solution and to what extend it will help in database sysnc and user responce.

I have gone through the PDF doc for which you provided the link.

I have query to, can this be implemented after golive, i mean we have SAP system(production) with 2 APP servers.

Now if i want to implement MSCS in our organization, since we have to rollout to other branches across country.

At this stage is it possible, if yes kindly guide from where to start in configuration.

difficult to say. I think the best contact for this question will be your hardware partner - they definitely have know-how in dispersed clusters and can apply it concerning your landscape.
