Hello SAP Community
In SAP C4C, if a customer name has a specific character (e.g."Kärcher") : you won't be able to find it, if the user types "Karcher", in the menu bar.
It's very annoying because end-users don't know all language subtlety. Indeed in French or in German, many accounts can have specific Characters (ä,é,è,ë,û).
Plus, When we deal with customers, Account name needs to reflect the legal entity name, therefore we just can't remove these specific characters.
I think, the system should be able to find the Account no matter if the user types the specific character or not.
I have already created an incident to the support, and they said that this is the "standard behavior" (no kidding...)
Does anyone have more info about a potential fix about it in the next release ?
Thanks

Hello Jérémie,
Good suggestion, could ou add it to our Ideas channel?
https://ideas.sap.com/ct/ct_list.bix?c=SAPCloudforCustomer
If you need this functionality urgently you may contact your implementation manager to help with such request or approach directly the SAP Cloud Service Center via e-mail to SAP Service Center: servicecenter@sap.com . They may find a workaround using a PDI customization field.
The benefits of using the above roll-in channels:
•You make your voice heard when it comes to adding new features to future releases of SAP Cloud for Customer.
•You have full transparency about what happens to all submitted ideas.
•You can engage and connect with a network of other customers, partners and SAP experts
Best Regards
