Crystal Reports XI on Windows 10

Hi,

I have installed Crystal Reports XI on Windows 10. Our reports use Xbase data.

When I want to refresh data, CR want to install something and display a message "Failed to load information database".

My collegue has installed the same version on Windows 8 and upgrade his Windows 8 to Windows 10 and it works !

Could you help me ?

    Hi Marc,

    Go to the Control Panel > Programs and Features > Crystal Reports > uninstall/change.

    You should see a 'modify' option. Click OK and add the Xbase files to the installation from the list.

    I try to change installation of CR but I receive these two messages :

    Installation has been done from an iso file.

    What can I do ?

    In the SAP BusinessObjects folder which contains the folder where Crystal is installed, you should see a folder called "InstallData". In there is a folder called "logs". Look at the most recent log file and see if there's any indication of what the issue is that's causing this error.

    Make sure you have full PC Admin rights and copy and extract the ISO onto your local hard drive and try again.

    If it still fails go into the install log, should be here or below in possibly a \2 folder:

    C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Temp

    See what is missing, could be a dependency or possibly your Anti-virus software is blocking install.

    Hi all,

    Thanks for your answers but it doesn't work.

    Install program say that installation is complete successfully.

    When I want to repair CR installation program show an error. When I look at the log file I see that :

    Those errors are reported by MSIExec, search Microsoft to see what the numbers mean.

    Hi All,

    I found a solution !

    I start CR as administrator, CR install restart again and finish the installation correctly ... very strange but it works !
