Not able to add data to the z-table that i created

Hello friends

I have created a test ztable and activated it.

Then I went to Utilities -> Table content to start entering some test data

manually, however, only Display data can be selected.

The option 'create enteries' is greyed out.

Could some one let me know what I may be doing wrong.

Thanks

Ram

In the delivery and Maintenance tab, make sure that "Display/Maintenance Allowed" is selected.

    Hi,

Have you created table maintenance generator?

If you have already created a maintenance view, then you can either

    a) go to transaction SM30, enter the name of your table, and click on "Maintain"

    or

    b) go back from the display view to the dictionary display of your table (I'm assuming you used SE11 or something similar to view the table) and then choose "Utilities -> Table Contents -> Create Entries".

For some reason if you have created a maintenance view you cannot get to the creating entries screen from the display screen. I hope this helps.

    Hi Ram,

May be you not authorized to create the customizing objects. thats y you are not allowed. But if you goto transaction sm30 there it will allow because you have created the maintenance.

May be you are not able to create since the attributes is set to Display\maintenance allowed with restriction. so set it to display\maintenance allowed then you can enter the values.

    Thanks

    Hi Ram..

To allow the TABLE Entries to be created in Data dictionary for a table:

    Open the Table in SE11.

Goto the Tab: DELIVERY AND MAINTENANCE INFO

Select the Maintenance option as: Display / Maintenance Allowed.

    Now Activate the Table .

It will enable the options UTILITIES -> TABLE CONTENTS -> CREATE ENTRIES.
