Difference between 343 and 344 movements

Hello Gurus,

What is the difference between 343 and 344 mvt types. 343 is TF blocked to unrestricted and 344 is TR blocked to unrestricted.

When I extract from MSEG the list of materail documents, there is same material document created with an 'X' in the general automatically created material.

When I transfer stock from unrestricted to blocked or blocked to unrestricted using MIGO_TR how many material documents are created. I think only one but with how many entries in it.

Regards,

Balu

344 is reversal of 343 (Transfer posting blocked stock to unr.-use stock)

Balu,

Movement 344 is a transfer posting from unrestricted stock to blocked stock whereas movement 343 is a transfer posting from blocked stock to unrestricted stock (or a 344 cancellation/reversal).

Both the movements will be associated with only 1 material document (only one MKPF-MBLNR). However both the movements will always have 2 entries in MSEG corresponding to each material document with the second item being automatically created (denoted by MSEG-XAUTO = 'X').

You will have -

- An item for the removal from unrestricted stock/blocked stock.

- An item for the placement into blocked stock/unrestricted stock.

Hope this helps.
