Oracle Db Home error during installation

Hi List,

We are in the process of migrating from Tru Cluster 64 to Itanium on

red hat Linux 4.0 on an Oracle database. The hardware configuration

and software versions are listed below. I will appreciate some help in

resolving the problem below

Installation on an Itanium 2 cluster

CI installed ok

Software:

Sun Java 1.4.2_13

SAP4.7 ext110 (using 6.40 install media 64 bit)

DB Oracle 9.2.0.7

OS Linux RHEL 4 U4 - kernel 2.6 (itanium II 64-bit)

Issue:

DB install script does not prompt for location of CD/DVD for database

install. Error message appears pertaining to dbhome - text follows:

"ERROR 2007-09-12 21:47:20 [iaxinscbk.cpp:289]

abortInstallation

CJS-00030 Assertion failed: Component OraDbBuild: Context parameter

dbHome must be a valid ORACLE_HOME directory"

SAP OSS suggests that Oracle should have been installed.

Workaround attempt:

Manually install DBMS

DBMS Issue:

Install files for Oracle 9.2.0.8 faulty

Oracle Universall istaller (OUI) for Oracle 9.2.0.7 faulty.

Used 9.2.0.8 OUI to install 9.2.0.7 DBMS

dbhome error still exists.

Are you really sure you´re installing the Database with 9.2.0.7 and not only the PATCH for upgrading to 9.2.0.7?

I´m not aware of an installation CD set (neither from SAP nor from Oracle) that contains 9.2.0.7 already.
