Pre Sales Actual Sales and Post Sales


will anybody plz let me know about what is a pre sales process

actual sales and post sales process with a scenario and how

each of these reports will help an organisation........and which

reports are exactly require in each of these phases........

    Pre sales process


    1) First and foremost thing is we need to identify potential customers

    2) Send introductory mail giving the range of your products and ask their items of interest with quantity required

    3) Send a quotation clearly mentioning terms and conditions

    4) Follow-up regularly till you get orders

    Actual Sales Process


    1) Once you receive the order, acknowledge the customer with thanks

    2) Pass on to respective plant

    3) Get a tentative dispatch plan from plant and inform customer

    4) Follow-up with plant regularly and monitor the production process

    5) Once goods are ready, get packing details and inform customer in advance

    6) Make shipment / dispatch

    Post sales process


    1) Negotiate the documents through bank

    2) Inform customer when the cargo will reach them

    3) Follow up for payment on the due date

    4) Close the sale proceeds

    The above is the general but will vary from company to company. In SAP, there are lot of SD reports and first you have to decide how are you going to capture your client’s process in SAP. Depending upon this, we can generate report.
