FI substitution - can i change field in header BKPF from BSEG?

hi all,

I want to create a substitution for modify a field in BKPF.

unfortunately, in my FI-substitution, when i try to create a step in the complete document, the substituable fields are only on the table BSEG.

what is the good way to make this correctly?

thanks,

rewards if helpful.

Adrien.

Create a header substitution instead - this gives access to some BKPF fields

As standard, the whole document subtitution comes with very few fields (possibly none) available to change. There are OSS notes on how to add extra fields, but in most cases changing header fields at this late stage would probably make the document inconsistant.

In complete document, when i create a substitution, and then create step, i get

    Structure BKPF Accounting Document Header

    Table BSEG Accounting Document Segment

    Structure SYST ABAP System Fields

    in the prerequisites.

How come you are getting only BSEG, check again....

There is a note that tells you how to include fields for substitution but it also warns against doing this...SAP NOTE: 42615, but in saying that we have added fields to the bseg structure on a couple of occasions
