Plz help me in changing the Portal Language .I do not find the "Portal Language" option on clicking on "Personalize" link in Portal home page.I am logged in as an Administrator. Also on checking Content Provided by SAP >> End User Content >> Standard Portal Users. >> worksets i do not see this page .Where can i get this page ? Its an urgent issue ,I'm in a fix as the client has demanded for this option to be available to all users who can see the portal in their languages. Is Mexican and Chinese available as a standard option in SAP?
Hi Arijit,
You can find the iview at Portal Content-> Content provided by SAP -> Admin Interfaces -> Admin IView Templates-> Personalize -Portal Language.
Chinese is available as a standard option in SAP, but Mexican is not available.

thanks for that ! I have located"Personalize" Workset and added the page and the iVIew "Portal Language" to it respectively .Now i see it inside the workset but on clicking it,its saying
" <b>The requested page has been replaced by the new Web Dynpro based administration. Please refer to SAP Note 869852 if you want to use the old administration UI. Click on the following link to access the new administration screen: /useradmin</b>"
Any idea how to get it back ?
make sure the user ID you use to log in has the "everyone" or eu_core_role assigned. Otherwise the Personalize link won't show up.

Ok i did as you said but on clicking "modify" to User Profile the
"Language "property is disabled .My TL said that it is due to back end talking to ABAP engine which cannot be changed .In the meantime can we have a simpler link "Languages" as you see in this site (sdn ) itself just beside "Log Off " ?It opens up by providing a few options of languages to choose from.I want this in Portal Home page .<b>This is exactly what client wants .....just like sdn site itself.Plz help !!</b>
Hi There ,
Log on to the Portal.
Click on Personalize.
After that Click on user Profile.
Then Click Modify.
In the General Information Tab, Select the Language you wish.
Then Click Save.
Close and Reopen the Browser and you are done !.
Chinese is Available.
Mexican is Not.

Rajendra
