REGARDING LSMW

Hi All,

I m very new to SAP and working in CRM 5.0. I wanted to transfer the BP master data from legacy system( which is maintained in a Excel format) to SAP system. I have the steps how to transfer the data. I follwed the same steps what is in LSMW by recording method. But in last step I m getting an error like

No batch input data for screen SAPLBUS_LOCATOR 3000

Message no. 00344

Diagnosis

The transaction sent a screen that was not expected in the batch input session and which therefore could not be supplied with data.

Possible reasons:

1. The batch input session was created incorrectly. The sequence of screens was recordly incorrectly.

2. The transaction behaves differently in background processing in a batch work process than when running in dialog (SY-BATCH is queried and changes the screen sequence).

3. The transaction has undergone user-specific Customizing and therefore certain screens may be skipped or processed differently, according to the current user. If the person who created a batch input session is not the same as the person now processing it, this problem may occur frequently.

System Response

Procedure

For 1: Either re-create the session or process it in expert mode. Correct the batch input program.

For 2. It is very difficult to analyze this problem, particularly in the case that the screen sequence or the display-only options of fields differ according to whether the transaction is being processed in the background or as an online dialog. It could also be that this kind of transaction cannot run with batch input.

For 3: Have the creator of the session process it. If no error occurs now, then this is a program with user-specific Customizing.

Can any body suggest me where i did the wrong thing. Some ne told me that it is customization problem and there are several steps to transfer the data from legacy systen to SAp ie by using Idcos in LSMW, Using Bdocs in LSMW etc. But I want to transfer the data in simple recording way. Plz....Guide me. Its very urgent.

Hi

In Legacy system observe org structure and BP hierchy and product hierarchies, divisions and dcs, if every thing is same check for the data flow like middle ware

which is connecting your legacy and sap systems and check whther your Legacy systenm is recognising the connected Standalone CRM or not by checking in Para meter table of middle ware, mostly data won't be supported here check for it,

these are all the options where there could be a problem arises.

Hi Venkat,

Thanx for giving suggestion. Any how U have given the answer to my both query. I m trying in Trail and error method. We r the small org na d there is no Basis or middleware consultant. What I wanted is If I can transfer the data by making in a excel sheet then i can transfer the data in same way from my client server. When I m doing in my system I m getting this error. Guide me How to do it.

Hi inLSMW you need to enter project , sub project and object

otherwise go through menu's Seetings Idoc In Bound processing , I doc message flow for the purpose of when data to be flow from legacy to SAP Systems

I doc inbound Processing will aloow you to import 3rd party files in to SAP

Via Idocs try this
