Dependant/ not dependant status in Infotype 0021

Hi Experts,

I am not able to see the dependant/ not dependant node which is available under the infotye 0021.

Plz suggest what to do.

Hi Sairam,

There is an option under the infotype 0021(family member details) where we can mention whether this family member is dependant on the employee or not. We can mention this by entering Y/N(Yes/No) in that field.

But i am not able to see this field under infotype 0021. Plz suggest the reason.

Hi,

Check the screen flow of the infotype 21.

Transaction-PM01->Goto->Screen control->MP002100

Check the field,whether the hide option is applied,make it std.

I am not able to see any such option there. If you know the screen number where the dependant field is apprearing then plz let me know so that i can go there directly and unhide the same.

Hi Kunal,

Where did u first see this field ? Is the infotype been enhanced in your company ? When we have a look at the database of infotype 21...there is no such field like that.

For having a look at the fields in IT 21 goto t-code SE11 and type PA0021 in database table and click on display.

Thanks for the reply. Ya i have checked in SE11, there is no such field...but i have seen this feild in this infotype only......i'll check whether that was a enhanchment or something else..

If this is not in standard, then plz let me know where to maintain the dependant members details in SAP?

Hi Kunal,

This is Country specific.If you will change your user settings for USA and check the 0021 for USA based employees' dependents ie 'child', you will be able to see a check box "Fin. Indep." under status...

It is basically part of 0106 Family and Related Persons table P0106.

I hope you were trying to find this...

Hi Kunal,

If you are maintaining it for USA employees, it will automatically appear on the 0021 dependent child screen and you can check that box...

It is not available in India as it is part of Benefits 0106 infotype.

I didn't see any points rewarded by the way...

Hi,

I dont know why is the constraint of showing family memebers as dependents, but there is a provision in infotype 0582- where in you can specify family members as dependants by selecting the check box.

Family details are automatically fetched from infotype 21

Hi Kunal,

Just as Pranitha has suggested, there is another infotype 0397 where more details about the family members can be maintained. It is linked to infotype 21. Here there are checkboxes for Challenged dependent, Dependent student, Smoker dependent,Eligibility indicator for child allowance etc.

These 2 infotypes are linked so that when we open IT 0021 the details of IT 0397 are also shown in the same page.

Please check the infotype characteristics for Subtype option is selected or not.For maintaining the dependent records , you should maintain subtype of IT0021.Check the table T591A for IT0021 entries.
