SAP GUI - strange symbols, cannot use

Hello.

I have activated the following solution in the SAP CAL:

SAP BW/4HANA 1.0 SP03 including BW/4 Content SP01.

I have successfully logged into the Windows Front-end via the Remote Desktop (I'm using a Mac and am using the 'Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac' App though I experience the same issues with other similar applications).

However the SAP GUI is behaving strangely. I initially see things in English but I cannot successfully create a new system connection and when I view the options I see this (see screenshot).

I've also pasted a screenshot from the version of the SAP GUI below.

Can anyone help with this?

I am not an expert on this, but the weird font is Wingdings.

Can you try selecting a standard unmodified Windows theme? Hopefully not all available themes have messed up fonts.
