I am not able to see my interface in ID.

Dear All,

At present i am doing File to IDOC scenario.I am using Business Service for my Sender, and i am using EXISTING Business System for my receiver. For my Business Service,i opened the Business Service, i added my interface ,no problem for me.

Coming to Business System i am unable to see my IDOC interface while doing Interface Determination.

For this problem i gone through several forums there i got information that,

We have to install our Software Component in Our Business System in SLD.That part i am not able to do.Can anyone please help me in this issue?

At present in my Business System my software component is not there.Someother's Software Component is there, that's why i am able to see their interfaces, and not able to see mine in ID.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Ramana.

Did you activate all the chages in IR??

    -Activate all the chages.

-Best practice copy the Idoc name from IR and paste it in the ID and search it.

    Thanks

    Hi Venkata,

In SLD u have to add the Product in the Technical System. This Product should contains ur Software Component and the Technical System contains the Business System you are using.

At present in my Business System my software component is not there.

    Do some checks like

    1) check the Technical system whether ur BS is there or not also ur product shud be there.Incase u have muliple SC to that product make sure ur SC is checked and added. (that u can do fron Technical system screen >add product >then all the SC gets displayed [might b possible that ur SC is not added] )

    2)check the same with BS

    3)sometimes it is missed

4)also check whether it is not locked [administartion-->lock overview] u will see if lock is there

    5)clear sld cache

6)make sure ur objects shud be activated

    this might help

    regards,

    Pratibha

-->We have to install our Software Component in Our Business System in SLD

It means that first you have to create a Software Catalog ( Software Component Version(SWCV) & Products) plus System Catalog ( Tech and Business Systems) in SLD.

then you have to import that SWCV in IR and design the scenario...Only when you have done this then only you will be able to see your Interface in ID at Interface determination step as Msg interface is designed in IR and that itself comes under SWCV.

Kindly shoot any other queries, if coming up in mind...:-)

    Regards.

    hi Venkata ,

Can you tell me under which Software componenet version you hav edeveloped your scenario....?

Go to that Software component version in SLD(whcih you have used in design time ) and choose the associated Product with SWCV

Then you have to make sure that this Product should be installed in your Tech system.

    If not then make it...:-)

    Hope you got my point...

--->Product should be installed in your Tech system.

If it is installed then there is now point why i it not shwon up in Interfac edetermination step....

choose All Radio Button instead of your business system (which comes default) and then select your interface...

    Hope this helps...:-)

    • Venkat,

      good you solved the problem.

I haven't seen anyone talking about the Cache refresh option if you haven't found your object in ID that are active in IR.

I would do reactivate the objects in IR ,still I wont find them in ID then I would do full cache refresh(SXI_CACHE or URL).

      what do you say?

    Hi Venkata,

One more way to find the Product:

    1) Goto SLD

    2) Go to Software Component. Search for ur Software Component

    3) There is a tab for Installed Product. This will show the name of the product under which ur Software Component lies.

4)Add this Product to the Technical System containing ur Business System.

In this way you will be able to see ur interface in ID.
