Increase the length of an Info object which is already being used in Apln..

Hello,

We have an info object (IO) that has its master data already loaded. This Info object (IO) is also part of many infoproviders that have data loaded in to it.

Requirement: We need to increase the length of this IO from 2 to 5.

Problem: As soon as we try to activate the IO after increasing its length, it does not activate and gives errors that the data is already used. Then I tried to delete its master data to increase length. But it did not allow me to delete the master data.

How can I increase the length of this info object?

Hi,

If your master inuse in different infoprovider.. its not possible to edit the object..

you have to delete master data by using T.code:se14.. then try to edit.

Dint realize u wanted to increase the length ...u shud be able to do it w/o deleting master data ...

U can use FM - RSDMD_DEL_MASTER_DATA to delete MD bt check the where used list ...headsup with Tdata.
