Steps for extraction of data from 0FI_GL_10

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me steps for extracting data for GL extractor 0FI_GL_10.

Have worked on logistics side and I think FI extraction uses FM.

Hi Roberto,

I have already created Full IP and loaded historical data not need to load data from R/3. Init is successful which is w/o data transfer but when created delta IP and loaded, got error in the source system, requested repeat delta but no 0 record has been loaded.

Where am I doing wrong?

You had no new data/deltas in sourcesystem n so it showed zero but it shudn't error out - Check settings in RSMO - Jst open some load - Menu - Settings - Evaluation of Requests - Set it green for No data available for a request in sourcesystem.

There seems to be someother reason because when I run the datasource in RSA3 transaction in R/3 side, I can see there are 28611 records in the source system.

Also why is it required to run Init w/o data transfer and why not data with data transfer option?

28611 records are the total number of records in the sourcesystem , I guess u have loaded the same num when u did full.

Init with data transfer is nothing but a full load , as u have performed full laod if u do Init with data transfer aft full , der will be data duplication. u can either do Full n Init w/o or Jst Init with data trs. ( Init with data trnsfr is not prefferd as ull hav to do it for history data which will be huge ).

I guess u did full, init w/o n deltas all jst now one by one...

I think in my case I need to do init with data transfer since I loaded historical data thru external file for past 2 years and now they want current data to be loaded n daily basis from R/3.

Let me run init with data transfer to get data from R/3 and then once there is addition, I will run delta load.

So u shud be having two datasources dont u ...for flat file full load is okay...n for data from sourcesystem since u hav no history u can jst do Init with data transfer n deltas will follow...

Yes I have 2 datasources, one for flat file to load historical load which is a full load and the other one is for OLTP from R/3 source system which will have init and delta load.

If I need to schedule the delta for this daily lets say midnight then how it can be scheduled.

We can schedule the delta job in LO cockpit but how can it be done in this case or this has to be added in process chain?

Yes automation of deltas is done using process chains ....plz do some R & D abt delta timing capabilities of 0FI _GL _10 .

Hi,

For 0FI_GL_10 to load data from SAP R/3 you will have to first initialise the delat load and then you can schedule the delata loads using process chain.

For loading historical data you can create a fresh datasource and do a full upload.

Hi,

If I am not wrong, in FI datasources the delta load is made only once in a day....Then all that you create or modify today, it will be load tomorrow and only once.

hi,

i hope this may be useful,lets hope so,

once u have done init there is no need to do it again,becoz one init load full data and later the updated data u can load it through delta load other wise u can do it by creating the process chains.

FI works on timestamp so u have no many steps to extract data as in LO.

Create an infopackage n do full for history ( u mite want to split data say yearly) , initiliaze with out data transfer ( 0FI_GL_10 is delta capable ) n let deltas follow.
