I've recently installed a PI 7.0 using NW70 SR1. Afterwards it has been
patched to stack 13. During installation I entered a wrong
hostname/port for the location of the SLD. Now when I execute the
Configuration Wizard task "PI_00_Post install..." it stops in step 26
with the error:
Error: IO error: Unable to open connection to host "sld-xiu:57000". The
host is down or unavailable..
Step: Add Installed Product2
sld-xiu:57000 is the (wrong) SLD entered during SAPinst
I've edited the file /usr/sap/XIU/config/usagetypes.properties to
reflect the new SLD (which is installed locally on the system) but the
same error occurs
I've successfully run the following steps (to try to solve the problem)
NWA_01_This wizard will execute configuration for local SLD
NWA_03_Creating a connection to the SLD and Setting required
authorizations for SLD
NWA_06_NWA system : Register each managed ABAP system to SLD
How can I change the SLD parameters used by CTC?

Even I've got the same problem in my previous project.
Basis admin initially thought of going as central SLD and he gave some blah blah location where he wants to install SLD , later he desided to go for local sld.
when we try to run the PI template its looking for previous host name( the host name we gave at installation time ).
Is there any way that we can change this configuration ?
Instead of opening a ticket I did all the post installation steps manually.
Now even in my present project I've got the same error.. in this case its between BI and EP.

Hello All,
As far as I know you should use template installer to do post installation steps only if the SLD is local or else you have configure it sepratley.
Normal Steps which I know:
1. Create two RFC (TCP) type to SLD (LCRSAPRFC & SAPSLDAPI)
2. Maintain the parameter in backend SLDAPICUST.
