Going mad with launching web dynpro app in the portal :( please help me

(WAS version 7.00 SP12)

Hi, SDN!

I have a web dynpro (java) application with working with web service. I need to run this application in the portal.

I've read http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/74/d5e7418192c717e10000000a155106/frameset.htm , but cannot find anything similar for menu path from step 1 in that link. I've looked it in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator... May be this is incorrect search place? Which is correct?

Also I've read How to deploy Web Dynpro applications into Enterpriseportal

In the main page (e.g. sap04:50000) I choose Web Dynpro->Content Administrator. There I see a tree named "deployed content" wich also have my app in subtree "local->MyCarRentalWD". At the top of the page there're 4 buttons: "create JCo destination", "Maintain JCo destination", "Start assigned SLD", "Check SLD Connection". Also I can view app details - table with 4 tabs: "general", "preferences", "JCo destinations" (empty), "language resources". And that's all, there is no "create iView template" (or similar) 😢

What I have do to running my application in the portal?

thanks...

    Lev,

When u Select the option Deploy&Run in the NWDS, your

Project is automatically deployed into the portal and the application will be runned.

U can find this porject in the Content Admin.--> WebDynpro.

If ur Application has backend connectivity (like using the bapis) U have to maintain the jco connections here.

Create the JCo Connections if needed (its a simple wizard based creation).

U Can also run the application here in the Content Admin.--> WebDynpro

Browse to ur Project open the application click the RUN button from the top of the page.

U Can also create iViews for this application Go to Content Admin. > portal content just right click the folder where u want to create iview and say new> iview

    select webdynpro --> next

select ur application and finish the creation.

    Regards,

    Mr.Chowdary

try running from NWDS. From the context menu, you have "Deploy & Run".
