Moving PO Release Strategy from DEV to PRD, SAP R3, Oracle9i, Solaris

Hi Experts,

We are creating new PO Release strategy in dev server after testing in Dev we need to transfet to PRD server (2 system landscape). But the problem is when we transfer to PRD we are not getting characterestics, classes,clasifications into PRD. I hear we can do same job through BD91, BD92, and BD93. How to do it (do we need to run these transactions in Dev or PRD) what are the inputs we have to give .

Can we move specified modifications only in Release strategy through these transactions.

Or is there any other details like precaustions, restrictions etc.

you have to create the class,characterstics and value assignments in PRD server also.

But the problem is the in PRD client we can not create this master data in SPRO, as client setting are not allowing. Do we need to change the client settings to allow modifications or is there any other way. . . Please help. ..

u need not to modify client or go to spro . only use t-code CT04 , CL02 an CL20n

ct04 - to create char.

cl02 - to create class

cl20n - to assine char to class

hi jalli,

Characterstics and classes are master data , therefore request will not be created while doing setting for release strategy in SPRO. u have to create these classes and characterstics in the PRD before transporting the release strategy settings in PRD . If ur master data (i.e.classes and char.) is in bulk volume then u can also use BDC.

As per my knowledge charactaristic and class is a master data activity which cann't be trasported

U need to Define same in Prd Server
