Availability check at specific storage location level

Requirement from business :

we need to implement a modification in Availability check. This modification is only consider the storage location 1000 for the availability check. Here 1000 is Warehouse location.

The standard behavior of the system is consider the availability of the component at plant level or at storage location level. If we consider as a storage location level the system is going to consider the storage location 2000 (Production Sloc) , which appear in the process order. As we are not going to have stock in the 2000 we should consider only the storage location 1000.

In Component material master , we always have 2000 in MRP 2 – Prod storage Location field. From here GI will happen . But stock will be moved from W/H to Prod Storage Location. So during Order creation / Release system will check in 200o only since it is having 2000 in material master . Due to this user wants to do availability check at 1000 level always though in order component list ,components having 2000.

Proposal : During Order creation or Release , If the value is YM in ORDER CONTROL CHECK then replace all the component materials SLoc 2000 listed in process order with 1000 and do availability check. Checking this feasibility with development .

Any suggestion / better method to achieve this requirement .
