Hi

You can start with PO Release stragegy. Then go for PR/SA.

PO Release Procedure

- With Classification - Can be releasead only with header level. In PO with classification is only possible release

- Precondition, characteristic are created and assigned to class

- With Out Classification - Can be releasead in both header & item level. In PR both are possible

- Combination of Account assignment category, Material Group, Total Value, Plant

- Edit Class - Create Class - CL02

- IMG-MM-Purchaseing-Purchase Order-Release Procedure for Purchase Orders - Edit Class

- Create Classes for a release procedure for purchase orders.

- Create a class with the class type 032. Just Class Creation with Class type 32

- Classs are used to group together characteristics that are represent a release condition for a Release Strategy

- Edit Characteristic - CT04

- IMG-MM-Purchaseing-Purchase Order-Release Procedure for Purchase Orders - Edit Characteristic

- Create characteristics for a release procedure for purchase orders

- Classification characteristics are the criteria for a release condition

- If the criteria of a release condition are satisfied, the associated release strategy is assigned to the purchasing document

- Enter Characteristic Name and Descirption in Basic Data tag.

- Additional Data - Select the table name and field which we will use for criteria

- CEKKO - (PO Header table) Communication Structure - For PO

- CEBAN - (PR Header table) - Communication structure for PR

- The description has updated automatically - Basic Data tag

- Basic Data - Can select multiple values - more than one value in criteria

- Value - Value of the field selected in additional data are entered

- Assign Class with Characteristic - CL02

- Select the created class and update the characteristic

- Class should have 'n' number of characteristics

- Define Release Procedure for PO

- Release group/Release codes/Release indicator/Release strategy/Workflow

- Release Group

- Release Group Code (will create) along with the Class

- Release group 01 is defined for purchase requisitions and release group 02 for purchase orders. S3 for both

- Release Code

- A two-character identifier with which a person responsible for processing a document can release/cancel an item of a PO/PR

- Release Group along with the user details

- Release Indicator

- A release indicator shows the release status of a PO

- Specifies whether the purchasing document can be processed in or is blocked for follow-on functions

- "B" - Blocked

- "R" - Released - Tick box has true

- Tolerance value for PO change can entererd in percentage

- Release Strategy

- Create a release strategy for your release group and assign your release codes accordingly

- Release Group + Release Strategy Code + Release Strategy Description + Release Code

- Release Prequisities / Release Statuses / Classification / Release Simulation

- Release Prequisities

- With the release prerequisites, you specify the order in which the individual release points (individuals or departments) represented by the release codes may release the document

- Release Statuses

- Here you specify the status a PO has after certain release points have effected release

- Specify which release indicator/status a PO is to have after having been released via a certain release code

- Classification

- In classification, you maintain the values assigned to the characteristics which are created based on CEKKO table

- Multiple value are seleted

- Release simulation

- The release simulation function enables you to check which status a PO will achieve with your release strategy or not

Hi rajesh,

1) First decide on which criteria u r going to configure the PO rel. str.

2) Say you wil go by Doc. Types, Purchasing Groups & PO Value

3) Create all these character stics in T.code - CT04

4) Maintain values for these characterstics(i.e. Value ranges, pur.grp,& doc. types)

4) Create the class of class type 032 in - CL02

5) assign these characters to class

6) then define the release grups, assin them the release class that u have created

Plz note that you can use only one class for all the release str.

7) now creat the release str. and in classification chose the character vaues thet alreadydefined.
