Country Reassignment

Hi,

There is an issue regarding Action Country reassignment.

If I check the last flag in Set Personnel Action Screen for Action Country reassignment(Host Country), while performing Country reassignment(Host Country) action the Personal Data(0002) is getting copied from the ACtion Hiring Regular Emplyees(Home Country).

But when I dont check the flag in Set Personnel Action Screen for Action Country Assignment(Host Country).. then if I Perform Action Hiring Regular(Home Country) and terminate him in Home Country for sending the employee to other Country..

then I perform Action Country reassignment to hire him in (Host Country). in this scenario Personal Data(0002) is not getting copied...

so pls give the solution for this issue

Hi,

In table V_T582A, Copy Infotype node has been checked even though the Personnel Data is not getting copied in Action Country Reassignment(Host Country).

So I am following the standard process i.e, Country Reassignemnt Check in Set up Personnel Action. then the Personnel data 0002 is getting copied

The Process which we perform for Action Country Reassignment)

Step 1: Hiring Regular Employees in Home Country

Step 2: Termination

Step 3: Hiring thru Country Reassignment (Host Country.

When I do the above process IT 0002 is not getting copied from the Step 1:Hiring Regular Employees in Home Country

Country reassignment can be handled in two ways

1)Use Standard SAP country re-assignment action. This action combines the hiring action (to host company) and the leaving action (home country) in a single step

2)Use 3 separate actions –a) Hiring, b) leaving and c) Country reassignment (without ticking the country reassignment indicator ). This was a design used prior to SAP’s country reassignment action.

I understand that you are using the above 2nd design. In this set up there is no link between the 3 actions used, hence the Infotype 0002 will not get copied. The 3 actions work independently and hence how can you expect the system to know that you are trying to link the 3 actions together for an employee. In your solution, there is no way the system can know that its one employee, the system treats the employee as 2 different employees. Perhaps you need to introduce a logic in your country reassignment action to identify and link the employee and copy over the employee infotypes that you want. But this needs to be built in an user exit. Why would you want to do an enhancement, when SAP has already provided in their country reassignment action. Just use the standard SAP country reassignment.

Hope this helps

I believe the copying of IT0002 is because of infotype setting in table V_T582A. Infotype 0002 is configured to copy from reference personnel number. When you have the personnel action marked for country reassignment, this gets copied and this doesn't get copied when you don't mark the personnel action for country reassignment.

In your scenario, "Copy infotype" would be select in table V_T582A for IT0002.
