BP Replication with Sales Area Data

Former Member

Hi all,

We are having an issue with BP replication from CRM to R3. The issue is that when we create a new BP and add sales area data to this Sold-To business partner, the BP is replicated to R3 all blanked out. There is no name, address or any data that is replicated. However, if we create a new Sold-To business partner and do not maintain any sales area data, the replication works as expected. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance. Points will be awarded for helpful responses.

Hello John,

Don't you have any Bdoc in error (TAC SMW01 in CRM)?

Does the sales area exists in both systems?

Also, take a look at the data that is being passed in the Bdoc by clicking on the blue like icon stating 'Bdoc extended data part'.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Yes, the sales area exists in both systems but I get errors for both scenarios...

When I create a sold-to BP in CRM and maintain Sales Area Data, the error I get is "Business partner #### does not exist as customer, change not possible" (XR012). In the extended data part, there are two entries under Partner table. The first entry appears to be the Update to include sales area, and the second entry appears to be the Insert of a new customer. However, this new customer uses the Reference Customer information.

When I create a sold-to BP in CRM without Sales Area Data, I get "Updating could not be completed" (S&150). In the Partner table there is one entry and it contains an Insert for the new customer with all of the new data (no reference customer info in there).

Any ideas?

Hi,

please check the "classification " of your BP created in CRM.

Normally , for BP with Classification "Prospect" , sales area data is not replicated to R/3 , because as a prospect, sales relationship is not yet started.

pl. make classification "customer" of the BP and map it in Transaction PIDE in R/3

Secondly also check in CRM Customizing , CRM partner function mapping with R/3 partner function mapping.

PD

All the appropriate settings have been made. The scenarios are -

1. In CRM we create a BP <i>without</i> Sales Area Data. This creates both a MKK BP and Sold-To Customer in R3. The Sold-To Customer is extended to all of our Sales Areas.

2. In CRM we create a BP <i>with</i> Sales Area Data, meaning we maintained one Sales Area. This creates both a MKK BP and Sold-To Customer BUT all the data is blank -- there is no name, address, or anything.

Why does this happen?

I think the issue is related to how the BDoc message is working. Theres a table called Partners that is passed for BUPA_MAIN. The first entry has the new Insert task and has the relevant data. However, the next entry is an Update task and does not include anything except the Sales Area data. Any ideas?
