How to Mass update the MM Contract prices with "0"?

Hello Experts,

Our requirement is that we need to update the Contract prices (ME32K) to "0" in mass (not individually) because our client wants to update the prices in info record instead of Contracts.

I tried MEKR but it doesn't allow me to update prices as "0".

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Contract price can't be 0.

If you are going with info record, then during PO creation, system will take the priority as info record if reference is not contract.

If you are creating PO with reference to contract, then system will always take the price from contract even though valid info record is maintained.

    Dear Jagadist,

I would second the suggestion of Mr. Jurgen that you can't use info record while having a valid contract because Contract has always precedence over info-record. So it's is useless to make the price of contract zero and get the info-record in action while making PO with reference to contract.

By unchecking the field invoice receipt you can only make the contract price zero. Screen shot is attached for your reference.

A price of zero would mean free of charge.

Free of charge requires that the box for Invoice receipt is empty.

MEKR does not remove the tick from the EKPO-REPOS field, that is not the intention of this transaction. MEKR is used for huge contracts with hundreds of items where your vendor tells you that he has to increase his prices by X %

since OSS note 498777 SAP is checking whether net price becomes zero or less than zero.

However, it is possible in MASS transaction to make the REPOS field blank. But that is from my point of view with just rough testing not a solution either, because making this field blank removes the ability to go into the conditions (the icon vanishes) and the price field in the contract is protected (grey). If you try to change anything in this contract then you actually get the error message 06159 "For items without invoice receipt, please enter price 0." And this can't be done without button for conditions and a grey price field.

So you actually shoot yourself into the foot.

What is the idea behind making the price in the contract zero?

    • contract information has precedence over generic info record, so if you make the contract free of charge then this is the price that your PO gets, it does not look further into an info record.
