SAP PO Adds BOM In File Receiver Channel

Hi Experts

I have a File to File scenario ( not passthrough). I read a CSV file and when I output the file, receiver channel adds BOM character at the beginning. It only happens when I add quotes around each field (as there are a few fields which have comma in between)

When I open the input file in Notepad++, the encoding is UTF-8, whereas the target file is UTF-8 without BOM even though in receiver channel I have added the ContentType to UTF-8

Need a clarification here your thread subject line tells SAP PO is adding the BOM character where are in description you mention whereas the target file is UTF-8 without BOM . So can you clarify at your target end you want the BOM character or not ?

Thanks again for the prompt response. No I don't want the BOM character. When I open the target file in excel, it shows up the BOM character which is causing issues in the target system.
