SAP Fiori Multiple Backend Search Is Working for only one system & not for another

Hello Guys,

We are doing SAP Fiori Enterprise Search configuration with multiple systems i.e. SAP ERP and SCM. Both are two different backend systems. We have completed all required steps mentioned in below guide.

Optional: Establishing Connection to Back-End Systems

SAP Fiori search is WORKING FOR SAP ECC backend but we are NOT WORKING for SCM at the same time. Dropdown of launchpad is showing only ECC search connectors.

Backend SAP table ESH_ADM_SC_MAIN is having connectors of both ECC and SCM system but then why SCM search connectors are not coming in launchpad dropdown?

Can someone guide us in this?

Hi Rauf,

Could you share more details of OData service. Try to debug the fiori launchpad by checking the browser debug mode (mostly F12).

Hi Pavan,

OData services are not in picture as of now as connectors are created and indexed in the backend. The services /sap/es/ina/getserverinfo & /sap/es/ina/GetServerResponse also working fine. The problem is /sap/es/ina/GetServerResponse service is fetching only ECC's search connectors why not SCM's connectors as well?

Okay Rauf, Thanks I got it!

I hope you have considered verifying the Authorization on ECC and SCM as searches in SAP Fiori ES are restricted via authorizations provided to user.

More info here

Hope it helps!!!

Also,

There are 2 standard back-end roles available in Enterprise Search

1.SAP_ESH_LOCAL_ADMIN for administrators.

2.SAP_ESH_SEARCH for end users.

This will also affect data listed in the Search box dropdown help

Ideally copying and adapting SAP_ESH_SEARCH, users may be restricted to specific Search Connectors that are relevant to their business role.

Hi Pavan,
Thanks for taking this ahead. But I have given all required authorisations to user. The table ESH_ADM_SC_MAIN contains search connectors of ECC and SCM also but don't know why SCM's search connectors are listing in Fiori Launchpad ?

Welcome!

By below lines did you mean that SCM Search connectors are NOT listed in Fiori Launchpad?

Hi Pavan,

Yes,SCM Search connectors are NOT listed in Fiori Launchpad, although I can see & perform search using them on ESH Cockpit. Why so?
