Hello all,
We have been asked with a requirement of editing POD worklist heading with their own shopfloor naming, instead of having SFC, Shop Order and so on.
Is there any possible configuration to edit the Column Description in List Maintenance? As it is a restricted data coming from a table I assume there will be narrow posibilities to customize. If it is the case, any possible workaround with masks or similar?
Any feedback/solution would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Best regards,
Juan Borrero.
Hello Juan,
If you want for instance ITEM column's description to be changed from Material to Item, then it would require a customization\manual changes as it is not editable.
Not sure if it suits your needs, but you may also create a Custom Field for the needed entity (i.e. Material) and define its description\field label in Custom Data Maintenance.

Dear Alexander,
Excuse me for the delay but I did not got a notification about your reply so I was not aware of that.
Thanks for confirming that there is no standard configuration fo the columns header.
Your proposal of creating a custom data for the desired information to display would be achieving the goal. On the other hand, it requires some maintenance, as we would replicate core master data (Material, Shop Order, etc..) in a custom data under the very master data, just to have a proper column header on the display.
Nevertheless, thanks a lot for your quick reply and once again, I apologize for the delayed reply.
With greetings,
Juan Borrero.

Dear Juan,
Due to recent migration of SCN to SAP Community, I would appreciate any update from your side just to understand whether you have seen my reply at all.
Thank you, Alex.
