Client copy issue

Former Member

This is regarding an issue I am having with a local client copy with the profile SAP_ALL using sccl.

The copy completes with the error as shown below. Tried to re-copy the table SWWWIRET with the recopy option but got the same error

" Database object for SWWWIRET is inconsistent"

Completed with Dictionary Errors

SWWWIRET BC-BMT-WFM DDIC ERROR (See SE14)

I checked the table swwwiret in se14 and the runtime object "WORKAREA" is in red with the error "Database object for SWWWIRET is inconsistent". The DBA here says the table looks fine at the DB level.

Any suggestions please ?

Thanks

Hi Vic,

On the source system go to SE14 and see the object log details, you can also check SE11 to see if the table is active and looks good. On a DB level the table may look good but it sounds like you have DDIC inconsistencies against it

Hi Mike

I looked at se14 and se11 and the table is active. What are the procedures to fix DDIC inconsistenecies. Since this is a urgent issue I am thinking of copying the table which looks teh same, from another client in the same system to the one having issues, do you have any suggestions on how to copy tables between sytems ?

Thanks

Hello Vic,

in SE14 there is a button labeled 'Activate and adjust database'.

Be sure to mark the 'save data' field, if you want to keep your data (otherwise it is lost). This will clear the inconsistencies.

Copying the table from an other client doesn't solve your problem because tables are client independent!

Hi Michael

I alreday tried 'Activate and adjust database' in se14 with teh save option, but that did not fix it.

Also the table is called

"swwwiret"

(Application tabe-master and transactional data)

which is of type "Deliver class A"

and according to the documentation these are client dependent. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks

Hello Vic,

so you mean there is a inconsistency of the CONTENT of the table?

Then you could try to transport the content via transport request:

- In the source system goto transaction se01 and create via F6 a new workbench request

- double click on the request (not the task) and go into change mode

- on the tab 'objects' enter 'R3TR' as program id 'TABU' as the object type and 'SWWWIRET' as the object name and press enter

- click on the key-button

- enter the client and a star without spaces (e.g. '100*' )

- press save

Now you have a transport request which contains the CONTENT of the table.

This request could now be imported into target system via STMS (after releasing):

- Goto the import queue of the target system

- Menu --> Extras --> Other Reuests --> Add

Hi Michael

I guess the inconsistency is at the dictionary level.

In se14 after entering the object name 'swwwiret" >Extras>Database object-->Check shows up

"Database object for SWWWIRET is Inconsistent" although the Extras>Database object>Display shows that the table swwwiret is fine.

Thanks

Hi Vic,

if this is the case the solution is to 'adjust and activate' the table again in SE14.

With this function the table will be completely deleted on database level and then it will be created again with the structure out of the DDIC. So it can't be, that there is a inconsistency after adjusting!

If nevertheless there is a inconsistency after adjusting, I think that this would be a reason to call SAP to help.

Micheal

Thanks. I have already opened a case with SAP since I ran out of options.
