Hi experts,

we are planning to create a new sales org unit in our existing organization model.

Can anybody suggest an practial way of doing this?

I mean create a new org unit with the same ID in DEV/QAS/PRD systems. Can we first create it in the DEV system, generate a request and then move it to QAS/PRD system through MTP?

What's the simplest and most practicable way?

Please advise.

Thanks.

Jerry.

Hello!

the numer of Organsation ID generates through Transport in Target System, depends on previously generated number from Number Range.

If the number which was generated in Development System already occupied in Test System, it would take next number. I do not think, there is an way to get same number for newly created Org Id.

Thanks,

Krish

Hi Krish,

to be honest, in our system, we have the same ID for one org unit in both PRD system and QAS system,

or else, we have to define different pricing procedure determinations in the two systems.

But I was not involved in the implementation, so not very clear how they did this.

Thanks.

Jerry.

Hi Jerry,

It can be that in Test and Production System, the Organisation data were from ERP Data generated. When two Systems had same number interval then it took same numbers. I would suggest to look for any enahncement done in System.

Thanks,

Krish

Hi Krish,

we use Program RHMOVE30 to pack the created org unit into the customizing request and transport the request to Quality/Product system.

Just for your information.

Thanks.
