Production order confirmation in SAP S/4 HANA 1610 on-premise

Hi Gurus,

I have a scenario wherein my client is implementing SAP S/4 HANA on-premise edition.

We have a production scenario using co-products. The requirement is for pull production system and how do we design the same in SAP. I have searched for similar scenarios but could get anything specific.

Since it is a co-products scenario, the seeds, S (FG) are crushed into say A (FG), B(FG) &C(FG), the main product of the production, based on which the BOM is created is say A.

BOM structure is somehow

A = X tonnes (Header)

(Components)

B = -Ytonnes

S = Z tonnes

C = - R tonnes

I have some questions arising for the requirements :-

1. The requirement is to define the std values in the resources in UoM "Tonnes"

Is this possible? In that case, I understand we have to be very careful defining the formulas using the std values for time & cost calculations.

2. During confirmation of the process order, in an ideal case, the confirmation will be guided by "A (Header)" for the yield qty., whereas in this case the requirement is reverse. It should be guided by tonnage of "S" consumed for producing "B" & "C" and the actual cost calculation will also be based on the tonnage of "S" consumed. Any idea, how can we achieve this? This is quite an uncommon requirement.

Please help.

    Hi ,

    Kindly apportion the material and activity and other cost in B and C to higher percentage as per your requirement in MM for A.
