Procedure for OS/DB Migrations for BW, EBP, CRM , SCM and Workplace

I've been performing some migrations of an APO 3.0A system from TRU64 to HP-UX.

With APO having a BW 2.0B component, it therefore has partitioned tables etc.

Does anyone have info on the 'special procedures' that are required for this?

I found a doc that states it is for DB6 but inside the doc it also states it can be used for Oracle.

I've used it with mixed/inconsistent results. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Any help would be appreciated.

All complete now.

There isn't a SAP suported method of migrating an APO 30A system, just some generic migration info.

I used a combo of the DB6 migration stuff, standard migration utilities and oracle exp/imp.

All worked without a hitch.

There is a SAP Guide for Heterogenous System Copies in the Service Marketplace called "SYstem Copy for SAP ....". See http://service.sap.com/instguides

This guide describes the procedure neccessary for an OS and/or DB migration.
