Clipboard functionality in ABAVN for partial retirement

Hi Experts,

I am trying to do partial retirement in ABAVN for multiple assets.

Clipboard ( paste ) button is graded out. Not able to copy more than 6 lines. I have enabled button by using implicit enhancement in the function module AMDPS2I_TAB_CTRL_FOR_POSTING -> STC1_CREATE_HANDLE .

But clipboard ( pasting ) functionality not there in asset screen.

I cannot execute Mass retirement in AR31 ( by creating worklist in AR01 ) and releasing it. Since my requirement is Partial Requirement.

I tried with BAPI - BAPI_ASSET_RETIREMENT_POST but it is resulting with error message " Asset not in company code 4000 ".

I have read other posts on this issue. But I am not able to find any solution.

Can you please let me know any other solution exists for partial retirement or any other BAPI.

According to this post, AR01 is the transaction for mass retirement but I don't know if it allows partial, we don't use assets.

Documentation for BAPI_ASSET_RETIREMENT_POST clearly states what parameters need to be filled in for partial retirement, so I believe BAPI should be capable of handling that. The error message is very simple. Have you tried checking if the asset in question does in fact belong to the company code? Or have you tried debugging to check where the message occurs exactly?

Brutally forcing the buttons to be enabled does not seem like a good idea in general.

Thanks for your reply.

In Function module AMDPS2I_TAB_CTRL_FOR_POSTING, button TC_PASTE is passed to button list so it is hided in ABAVN screen.

I have created implicit enhancement in the function module STC1_CREATE_HANDLE (which is inside FM AMDPS2I_TAB_CTRL_FOR_POSTING ) and now I have enabled the Paste button.

I am able to paste more than 6 assets from excel.

Issue is For example, If am pasting 93 Assets - Total of 92 assets are getting pasted and all time last entry is getting missed out while pasting.

I have tried debugging the paste button but didn't get any clue why the last entry is getting missed out. Please help me why the last entry is getting skipped all time and how to paste the last entry .

Could you please ask only one question at a time.

If it's about "I have enabled button by using implicit enhancement in the function module AMDPS2I_TAB_CTRL_FOR_POSTING -> STC1_CREATE_HANDLE But clipboard ( pasting ) functionality not there in asset screen" then please give details what you exactly tried.

PS: if you don't get a satisfying answer, then you can open another thread with your question for BAPI.
