Dear all.

I need to open another document in one document.I have use follow ways,but it's still false,and both of them can work fine in SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio.

1) I just use APPLICATION.openNewWindow function to open

APPLICATION.openNewWindow("http://.../BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?iDocID=FikZqVmSqwIAog8AAACnp_MhAFBWrF7P&sIDType=CUID&noDetailsPanel=true");

2) use a SDK component "EMBEDDEDFRAME" to open it

EMBEDDEDFRAME_1.setUrl("http://.../BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?iDocID=FikZqVmSqwIAog8AAACnp_MhAFBWrF7P&sIDType=CUID&noDetailsPanel=true");

if I open this url in browser,which can work fine.

Am I wrong? Or Lumira 2.0 haven't this function?

I'm use version:2.0 SP2 (Version: 20.2.0)

Thanks.

Jing

EMBEDDEDFRAME_1.setUrl method is also throwing us an error after upgrading to Lumira 2.0. Did you guys find a solution to this meanwhile?

Hi Jing,

There is a known issue with OpenDoc links in Lumira 2.0. There are also two conflicting SAP Notes on the issue, one indicating that the problem is under investigation and the other stating that it has been fixed as of Lumira 2.0 SP01 Patch 1:

2493249 - Unable to view 2.0 Designer and 2.0 Discovery documents using document link after upgrading BI to 4.2 SP03 Patch 7 onwards

2490053 - Lumria Designer/Discovery documents fail to open via OpenDocument URL

Regards,

Mustafa.

Hi Mustafa.

Thank you for your reply.I've solve this issue after upgrade to Lumira 2.0 pach 1.And I'm used application.seturl().I haven't research EMBEDDEDFRAME_1.seteurl. EMBEDDEDFRAME_1.seturl sometimes send error,it's not stabilisation,so I give up it.

Thanks.

Jing

Hi Jing,

Thanks for your follow-up. That's interesting. I am also running Lumira Designer 2.0 Patch 1 but I don't see an APPLICATION.seturl() method. Are you sure that exists?

Mustafa.
